Graphics very slow: Intel UHD Graphics 620

My PC is really lagging lately. Each click takes 2-10 seconds to respond. In the past I updated the graphics driver and had the same problem, so I rolled back and performance issue was fixed. I'm thinking I'm having a graphics driver problem.

Intel Core i5 8265U

Intel UHD Graphics 620

Driver 27.20.100.9749

Windows 10 64bit

Is driver Driver 27.20.100.9749 the one causing the issue? That is a very old driver...
What is the model of your system? Haven't you tried the driver they provide? which is supposed to be customized for your system...

This was the driver the system came with, I believe. I updated the driver using Intel Driver Support Assistant and it works now! Thanks.

I just wanted to add that this is the correct solution. For whatever reason the Graphics Control Center would claim that the driver is up to date while still beeing on 27.20.100.9749. Updating as TravelBKK suggested installed the current driver with much better performance.
