Hi

I have been monitoring this thread for a couple of day now and thought it was time to give you some more data (thanks for your efforts by the way).

I run Windows 7 Pro x64 on an ASUS P8H67-I Deluxe B3 motheroard, the CPU is a Core i5 2405S and it has a single 4Gb module of ram from Corsair at 1066Mhz (SO-DIMM). Drivers are the latest from ASUS, bios is the newest available.

I have had the same issue with all of the 23xx drivers but not the 22xx or the new 2401 driver. As far as I can tell, all of the drivers that do not result in a BSOD behave the same. However, all of them also has the same 'overscan' issue mentioned in another thread, that is, the image is cropped on all sides. The top of the default sized windows task bar is barely visible, and it's the same on all sides. Sound, however, is working fine. VGA output is good on both my TV (Sony Bravia KDL40EX503) and my monitor (Benq 2420HDBL) , DVI output seems to work well on both devices as well. DVI (at computer) to HDMI does work on the tv, HDMI(at computer) to DVI (at the Benq) also works fine. I tried installing Linux, and then it works great with HDMI-HDMI at 1080p (but without sound) so it does not seem to be a hardware issue.

//Jakob

Hi,

Getting frustrated - help please. Every time I try to use an LCD TV (using mobo HDMI-out to TV HDMI-in) it results in a BSOD with STOP 0x16—telling me that the igdkmd64 did not recover. Usually before the BSOD I get something like "Display driver igdkmd64.sys stopped responding and has recovered" several times, and them–KABOOM.

The system works fine with a VGA monitor without the HDMI attached.

This is a clean Win 7x64 (Home Premium) install on a minimal system:

ASUS P8H67 B3 (Realtec HD Audio, and Realtec Gbit Network);

i7 2600K with Intel HD3000 on processor graphics

4 Gb RAM (2x 2Gb) DDR3 1333

HD - Crucial C300 128Gb SSD AHCPI.

Supposedly (?) I have the newest HW drivers

The culprit TV's are an older Olevia 42"-1080i, and a newer 26" VIZIO 1080p. Both are HDCP compliant, and both work fine with HDMI from a DVD, A/V Receiver or cable box.

So far I have tried swapping HDMI cables, tried using a DVI-out to HDMI adapter (TVs don't have DVI ports) – same result. Tried removing one memory stick (leaving only 2Gb on a single slot) same problem. Also tried with various BIOS settings -- no help. The same things happens if I booth in Safe Mode with networking, but not in Safe Mode. So, I disabled the network drivers and devices, and rebooted normally --but didn't help, same BSOD.

Have been searching the web and forums, but nothing seems to be helping.

Any suggestions are much appreciated!

Same problem here, I spend a whole weekend on this issue and thought I had a hardware problem. But then I downgraded the driver to the previous version and everything started to work flawlessly. I think there must be a bug in the latest version.

Glad your problem was resolved with software. I had to replace the motherboard --tried downgrading the drivers, but it didn't help. Then, after yet another clean install I connected the TV before even installing the intel drivers, only with windows. That comlpetely messed up the system (i guess the issue had run its course) -- it wouldn't even post Bios anymore -- no matter what monitor I connected to it. So, new mobo, and it works like a charm. Now, of course I want a new TV;-)

I guessing there must have been an electrical problem with the mobo hdmi connector.

Haven't had time to upgrade the drivers with the new motherborad yet. Been testing the system (running steady for several days now) with the drivers that came with the mobo CD (the Intel graphics driver is two rev. older than the current 2321 version, i believe).

Planing to start upgrading the drivers this weekend and will post updates.

FIXED: Grounding Issue.

After doing some research I found that if there is a shiny ring on top of your motherboard don't use a cardboard washer. Well this board did not have one on the top, but it was on the underside of the board.

I recommend mounting your motherboard on the pink anti-static foam for testing ONLY and see if that fixes your problem like it did for me.

Long story short: Adding a nylon or cardboard washer fixed my bsod with the newest driver. Everything works Perfect.

I hope this helps. Very weird how the old driver worked fine without the washer? Maybe new driver added voltage which in turn caused the problem.

Dave

So is this a motherboard fault or a driver fault? I have this problem on 2 intel boards DH67GD and DH67CF. Rolling back to the drivers on the cd solves the problem. But I am unclear as to wjat is at fault for the blue screens. Driver or Board?

I have the same issue under Windows 7 32bit, HDMI connection to AVR, and wondered whether the 64bit version would fix it. It seems not. How can Intel release such software? I have an DH67CL board which I got to avoid major problems but it seems the wrong choice. Has anybody seen any HDCP issues with their boards and HDMI to AVR connections? This problem prompted me to install the newest driver in the first place.

Thanks.

Klaus

I also had an issue with the new 2321 drivers.

Win7 Pro 64bit Service Pack 1

DH67BL Board

i7 2600

HDMI output to Samsung 52" 1080P TV

I currently run 2291 - and if I upgrade to 2321 the installer crashes, the machine BSODs and then I can no longer boot windows. I cannot see what the BSOD error is because it reboots to quickly. I have to restore 2291 before I can use the machine again.

Definately sounds like a botched release of drivers...

My initial issue for trying new drivers was that I was getting green lines during DVBT broadcasts in Media Centre, and my screen "shakes" sometimes.

(Sorry but I am Japanese so my English may be hard to understand.)

I got similar issue.

I clean installed Win7 64 bit and installed the newest driver.

After rebooting, I got BSOD.

I'm using DVI-D port. Not HDMI.

And I installed Windows to 3TB HDD with UEFI. (3TB partition)

This problem is not reproduced when I install Windows with MBR. (2TB partition)

Here is a question for all members who got this problem.

Is this problem reproduced by using DVI-D?

Are you using UEFI(GPT?) or MBR?

I want to know my problem is as same as yours.

I will try old driver later.

CPU i5 2500K

M/B ASROCK H67M-GE/HT

MEM 4G*2

HDD HGST 3TB

OS Windows7 64 bit
