Build Specs:

Asus Prime Z490-A BIOS version 2601 (Latest)
64GB (4x16) Corsair Vengeance RGB Pro 3200 RAM
PSU: Corsair CX750F Fully Modular 750W
EVGA RTX3080 FTW3 (Latest GeForce drivers via GeForce experience)
MSI Coreliquid 240R V2 CPU Cooling
CPU i5 10500 upgraded to i9 11900K (Problem started)

Windows 10 64bit

Hello

Yesterday I upgraded from i5 10500 to i9 11900K

When I rebooted went into BIOS and loaded default settings (F5) then rebooted.

Windows loaded then once I logged in after about 10 seconds the screen went black, then after another few seconds the RTX3080 fans stopped but the PC was still running although KB seemed unresponsive.

After rebooting again the same thing happened so I powered down, uninstalled GPU and tried using the motherboard onboard graphics. (Intel UHD Graphics 750 Drv. V. 27.20.100.9127 04/01/2021) Rebooted and it all loaded and ran fine. I uninstalled the Nvidia geforce drivers, shut down, reinstalled GPU, rebooted and windows opened and was running fine on GPU but without drivers. I then reinstalled geforce drivers (latest) and as soon as they were installed the screen went black and GPU fans stopped.

I tried the GPU on my other PC without any issues.

I tried a MSI RTX3070 in the i9 PC and the same thing happened.

The BIOS recognises i9 11900K with Temps about 33-34degs.

So I am at a loss as to what is happening.

Any interest, advice or assistance offered will be received gratefully.

Cheers

Do a fresh install of the OS followed by installing the chipset INF.

Well I gave that a go but it didnt work although the 3080 stayed "alive" for about 10mins this time.

Then I tried a GTX1080 I had laying around and......... its working fine currently got Furmark stress test running and seems to be no problems so far.

Because of this Im wondering if its the PSU? Although it should be capable might try an 850W from another PC.
