According to the games mentioned Farcry 1,2,3,4 are based on DirectX9 according to the game requirements. So is very important to point this out.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;SPAN class="uiOutputText"&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Intel Arc Cards are still in an improvement phase for native DX9 games since they run on Windows D3D9On12&amp;nbsp;emulation layer, thus performance hiccups on older DX9 games can be observed from time to time.       <title>Proper order with which to Install ARC Card  and Drivers</title>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;I found that how you install drivers for the new ARC Cards is important.&lt;BR /&gt;I had trouble removing the Nvidia drivers the first go around and it led to problems.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;The setup required rebuilding the PC due to the power requirements of the card, I needed an 8&amp;nbsp;&lt;BR /&gt;power connection and the existing power supply did not have one. The rebuild went fine and the PC booted without any issues, but this resulted in some programs not running right after the Nvidia drivers would not uninstall. I did get those drivers removed eventually.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;The best way to do this is to uninstall the Nvidia graphics driver before you remove the Nvidia card.&lt;BR /&gt;After the Nvidia uninstall, it will ask you to reboot, instead of rebooting shut down the computer.&lt;BR /&gt;Remove the nvidia card, but do not install the ARC Card and reboot using the igpu integrated with the CPU. If you do not have integrated graphics, install the ARC card.&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;After the reboot, then continue to uninstall any Nvidia software for the Nvidia card that has been removed. If you are successful at uninstalling the rest of the nvidia software, then shut down the PC and install the ARC Card.&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;Once the ARC Card is installed, download the drivers for the ARC Card next.&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;&lt;A href="https://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/support/products/227957/graphics/intel-arc-dedicated-graphics-family/intel-arc-a-series-graphics.html" target="_blank"&gt;Support for Intel® Arc™ A-Series Graphics&lt;/A&gt;&amp;nbsp;- Intel page for support and has an article about installation and setup of the drivers&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;I had several games that would not run but all for the same series (FARCRY 1-3) and the snipping tool for Windows would get stuck. In both cases, I ended up having to uninstall and reinstall the games for them to work properly again. FarCry 1 after the reinstall took really long time for it to start, so be patient until it gets past the initial splash screen. Once loaded, exit, and then restart the game, it loads a lot faster. I did the reinstall for the snipping tool as well and it that seems to be fine as well&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Thanks&amp;nbsp;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;I ended up re-installing the original FarCry and waited a really long time for it to load.&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;It did eventually load. You have to wait at different stages until you are actually in the game.&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;After it loaded, I quit the game and then re-started it and it loaded fine after that.&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;Not sure why it took so long the first time.&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;I have not re-installed FarCry 2 or 3&lt;/P&gt;</description>
