Intel HD Graphics, driver update issues.

Dead Sirs,

Last time I tried to launch World of Warcraft it gave me an error message saying that something was wrong with the 3D acceleration and that I had to check my graphic driver (which is an Intel HD Graphics, running on Windows 7 64bits).

I then downlodad the Intel Driver Update Utility with what I could observe that my current driver version is 9.18.10.3186 and it gave me the opportunity to get the 15.33.35.64.4176

However, after having it succesfully downloaded, the installation failed.

I also tried to manually install it but gave no better results.

HI Guilhem,

In order to better assist you, please give me the model of your machine and the model of the processor.

Also, let me know if you have tried the graphics driver from the manufacture of the machine. Intel provides generic version of the drivers so, they may not work properly nor install on OEM machines.

First of all, thank you for your answer.

My laptop is a MSI CR61 and my processor is an Intel Pentium Processor 3560M.

I haven't indeed tried the manufacturer's driver, tho I took a quick look at MSI's website and my research for any content regarding Intel HD Graphics seemed to give no result at all.

The Driver version that you tried to install was the correct one however this may not work. These software drivers are generic versions and can be used for general purposes. However, computer original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) may have altered the features, incorporated customizations, or made other changes to the software or software packaging they provide. To avoid any potential installation incompatibilities on your OEM system, Intel recommends that you check with your OEM and use the software provided by your system manufacturer. Intel and the computer original equipment manufacturer (OEM) may not provide technical support for some or all issues that could arise from the usage of this generic version of software drivers.

You can try installing the driver from MSI website I found it under 'SUPPORT FOR CR61 2M', the the driver is listed as VGA and you can find it here:
