Intel Graphics UHD 770 4K 2 Monitors

Hi to all,

I have my pc: https://www.hp.com/es-es/shop/product.aspx?id=6U3U8EA&opt=ABE&sel=DTP#technical-details

I have 2 4K monitors conected (HDMI 1.4 and DisplayPort) but only the conected to the DP port is sending 4K, the monitor that is conected to the HDMI port is on 1080p.

I had tryed all what i know, on paper HDMI 1.4 can display 4K, so i dont know what can be the problem, maybe 2 4K monitors its too much?

In order to have a better understanding of your issue, please provide me with the following:

· Is the cable that you are currently using an HDMI 1.4 validated? otherwise won’t be able to handle all that bandwidth.

Follow these steps to generate an Intel® Graphics Driver report for the Intel® Graphics Control Panel or the Intel® Graphics Command Center. Report for Intel® Graphics Drivers.

Please download and scan your system using our tool, Intel® System Support Utility so we can help check your system info first. Once finished downloading, open the tool, click on scan 'Everything', click next, then save the system information to a .txt file. Please provide the .txt file.

To run HDMI 1.4 in 4K must be needed: 5.97Gbps and the maximum supported by HDMI 1.4 is 8.16 Gbps, this means that is possible to display only 4k (3840×2160, 2160p, UHD) at 24Hz, due to 60Hz needs 14.93Gbps.

Once you provide us with that information, we will be able to check if it is possible to display 4 k on both monitors.

I´ve done what you mentioned and attached is the log file.

Yes, the HDMI is 2.0, so its compatible with 4K and with HDMI 1.4 standard.

· Please provide us with the monitors make and models. It will be necessary to have both monitors specifications. Also let us know which is using DP and HDMI.

IGCC Report: Follow these steps to generate an Intel® Graphics Driver report for the Intel® Graphics Control Panel or the Intel® Graphics Command Center. Report for Intel® Graphics Drivers. This is necessary to continue with the troubleshooting.

Intel® Graphics Command Center report:
- Open the Intel Graphics Command Center
- Navigate to the Support tab
- Select System Diagnostic
- Click Generate Report
- Select Save and name the output file.

I do have the same issue with two 4k monitor. Is there a solution or answer for it?
UHD graphics 770
Two Dell 4k S2721QS monitors. One connected with displayport 2.1 (4k) and the other one with high speed hdmi cable.
The resolution on the monitor connected with hdmi cable is not going more than 1920x 1080.
Please advise

While they may seem to have the same issue, every user's issue is different. You have different hardware, different O/S or distro, different driver mix, different driver installation order, etc. and etc. In addition, Intel Customer Support wants to track each user's issue to completion separate from that of any other. They can't do that if you are a rider on someone else's issue (or worse, attempting to hijack the conversation completely). Please open your own conversation for your issue, using the Post a Question button in the root page for the forum. Include a full description of your issue, the model of your PC/laptop, etc. in your post. You can include a link back to this conversation if you wish - but please don't say 'I have the same issue' because invariably you don't.

If you want to save time, please download and run the Intel System Support Utility for Windows (or Intel System Support Utility for Linux). It will provide more information regarding the architecture of your system and what drivers you have installed. When you start the tool, select Everything, and then click on Scan. Once it completes the scan process, click on Next and then Save. Pick a name for the text file to create and click on Save to create it. You can then close the app. Finally, in the description for your issue, use the Drag and drop here or browse files to attach dialog (below the edit box for the body of your question), upload and attach this text file to the post.
