Monitor Screen Flicks (Intermittently)

Hello!

Until a few days ago, I used this notebook only with its built-in monitor, but about a week ago, I started using an external monitor as well, which I set up as the primary display.

However, it started to intermittently display a flick on this monitor, occurring at irregular intervals without a defined pattern. The screen goes black for about a second, not more than that.

Sometimes, there are two of these flicks within a minute, and at other times, more than half hour can pass without it happening.

The HDMI cable in use was connected to another notebook and was functioning normally.

I've already tried switching and replacing the HDMI cable, hoping that the symptom would stop, but to no avail.

Does anyone have any further suggestions on where I can seek a solution for this?

LapTop Specs:
HP G42-230BR
i7-620M
8gb RAM
SSD 240gb
Video Card: Intel (R) HD Graphics - Driver version: 8.15.10.2900
REMARK: The ideo card delivers only 59 and 60 Hz and is working in 59 Hz (in 60Hz the flick become more frequent).

Monitor Specs:
LG 29'' - 21:9 UltraWide™ - Full HD - IPS Screen Split 2.0
Max Resolution capable: 2560 x 1980 @75 Hz.

What OS? If Windows 10, there is no support. There is no Intel driver available for W10.

Also, there is no support for 1st gen processors.

In short, it is time to upgrade to new(er) hardware.

However, you may wish to try a better cable, even though it appears to work on another system.

Yes, it is W10 2022-H2 and I know everithing in this machine is obsolet...
but I have no money at this moment to buy a cheap one.
and it fits well for internet and office, as I am using.....
