Driver crashes computer on startup

I am having an issue with My ASUS laptop...whenever I install the Intel HD Graphics family driver on Windows 7 the computer crashes during startup. I then go into safe mode and disable the driver and everything loads fine under the Windows Generic VGA driver. I have tried new drivers, old drivers, etc with no avail. Are there any other thoughts out there?

In regards to your issue, please send me your laptop model and the results of Intel® System Support Utility. I would try to solve the issue.
