      <title>Monitor not working</title>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;My monitor displays a black screen then&amp;nbsp; goes to sleep when I trying using my displayport. The cable is new and in good standings which is a HDMI / DISPLAYPORT single cable. I have a Core i5 6600&amp;nbsp;@3.30 processor with a HD Graphics 530 card. All the drivers are up to date. Please help.&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;</description>

[Yes, this can be important.]&lt;/LI&gt;&lt;LI&gt;What is the model number of the DisplayPort monitor?&lt;/LI&gt;&lt;LI&gt;What type of DisplayPort connector does the system/motherboard provide? DisplayPort? Mini DisplayPort? USB-C? Something else?&lt;/LI&gt;&lt;/UL&gt;&lt;P class="lia-indent-padding-left-60px"&gt;[Aside: If USB-C, it must support Thunderbolt or DisplayPort ALT Mode.]&lt;/P&gt;&lt;UL&gt;&lt;LI&gt;What type of cable are you using (what exactly does it say on the cable)?&lt;/LI&gt;&lt;/UL&gt;&lt;P class="lia-indent-padding-left-60px"&gt;[Aside: You want one that says 'HBR2' (or 'HBR3') and/or says it supports '&lt;SPAN&gt;21.60&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;SPAN class=""&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;SPAN&gt;Gbit/s' (or better).]&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;UL&gt;&lt;LI&gt;&lt;SPAN&gt;Is this a new connection?
