I am a GNU/Linux user. I have purchased an Intel i7-3770 (HD 4000) because I had read that Intel was supporting Linux. But apparently Intel not support many features in GNU/Linux, which saddens me a little.

Regarding Intel QuickSync, on Wikipedia I read that QuickSync is not supported on GNU/Linux and Intel has no plans for it to be supported. Is that true?
