I have two display adapters installed on my Windows laptop. One is Intel(R) HD Graphics 520 and one is NVIDIA Quadro M500M. WHen the Intel one is enabled, it causes my screen to blink and sometimes go all black. It only does this when the laptop is not plugged in. If I plug it in, the issue goes away. If I disable the Intel adapter, the issue goes away. But if I have it disabled, I am not able to play certain games or put my machine to Sleep.

One way to solve the issue is to update your graphics driver.

The description in that link isn't really what I am experiencing. And there are no updates to the driver.
