Selectable Resolutions differ on identical monitors

These monitor are identical but on one of them I can't select 3840x2160 Resolution. Display 1 is laptop native monitor.

All Drivers/Windows Update/Vendor Update are fully updated.

How do I resolve this?

The monitors are:

Wortmann Terra LED 3290W, 31.5"
3840 x 2160 @ 60 Hz 10-bit HDR

Please include the sales name of the laptop. This is usually on a label on the bottom. If you have a link to the product, please add it. And please include information about the cables used. I don't know of any laptops with DisplayPort connectors, so there must be something in between.

Please run the Intel System Support Utility for Windows and perform a scan for all options. Attach the output file here.

Please also create a Report for Intel Graphics Drivers and attach the file here.

I don't know what kind of information about the cables your are requesting? Length? Make or Brand?

Thanks for the information.

The laptop is a Dell Precision 3480 and the docking station is a Dell WD19S.

The docking station is connected to the Dell laptop on the left side via one of the Thunderbolt 4 (USB Type-C) ports. This can output a signal in accordance with the DisplayPort 1.4a HBR3 protocol using 4 lanes. But the user manual for the Dell docking station states:

HBR3 on 4 lanes = 32.4 Gbps

HBR3 on 2 lanes = 16.2 Gbps

Coordinated Video Timing - Reduced Blanking (CVT-RB), 8-bit:

3840 x 2160 @ 60 Hz = 16 Gbps
3840 x 2160 @ 30 Hz = 7.8 Gbps
2560 x 1440 @ 60 Hz = 7.3 Gbps
1920 x 1080 @ 60 Hz = 4.1 Gbps

Now you have B+D = 11.9 Gbps

C+C as stated in the manual = 14.6 Gbps

B+B = 15.6 Gbps (too close)

The Dell docking station is a bottleneck.

Possible solutions to run both monitors with the same resolution:

Reduce the resolution on both screens to the resolution that Dell states is the maximum supported (2560 x 1440)
For 3840 x 2160 @ 60 Hz on both monitors connect one of the two monitors via HDMI directly to the HDMI port on the right side of the laptop using a Premium High Speed HDMI Cable.

Addendum: After analyzing the extended diagnostic data of the graphics driver, I can say that the Wortmann monitor does not support a resolution of 2560 x 1440. Therefore, please try the variant with the HDMI cable.

For maximum convenience, you can also consider upgrading the Dell docking station to the WD22TB4 model ("Dell Thunderbolt Dock").

Then you can operate both monitors at 4K @ 60 Hz via the docking station's DisplayPorts and only need to connect one cable to the laptop.
