I have a Dell Inspiron 5593 laptop with Intel Iris Plus Graphics. I want to buy an external monitor which supports a maximum refresh rate180Hz. Does my graphics system support such a high refresh rate?

Dell Inspiron 5593 - Setup and Specifications

The only video output on this device is HDMI. Page 12 of the Dell documentation states that the maximum supported resolution is 1920 x 1080. Most likely at 60 Hz.

I don't think it's possible to run a 180 Hz monitor on this device.

There have been several inquiries here in the forum about Dell laptops, quite a few of which are limited by the manufacturer Dell to 1080p @ 60 Hz, even with newer graphics hardware such as Iris Xe.

If you want to be completely sure, you have to ask Dell Support, as the maximum supported video modes depend not only on the graphics integrated in the processor, but also on the hardware components that an Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) such as Dell installs on the device's motherboard at the signal path from the processor to the physical connector.
