Hello Security-Gorilla,

Thank you for posting in the community. I see that you're experiencing an issue with your display. It appears that your current graphics driver is set to Microsoft Basic Display, which might be incompatible with your system.

To resolve this, I recommend installing the graphics driver provided by your system's manufacturer. You can follow this link to the Lenovo Driver Support page and select "Detect Product." This will identify your system model and provide the appropriate driver compatible with your system.

Once your system has been detected and the drivers are provided, look for the graphics driver for the UHD 630, usually labeled as Intel Graphics Driver or Intel VGA Driver. Download the latest version and install it on your system. For a clean installation, you can follow these steps:

Disconnect from the internet to make sure the driver will not be automatically updated by Windows.

Go back to the Intel Graphics entry in the Device Manager.

Right-click Intel Graphics and click Uninstall.

In the device removal dialog box, check Delete the driver software for this device and click OK.

Restart the computer after the uninstallation is complete.

Open the Device Manager.

Expand the Display adapters section again.

If no older drivers are stored in the system, the graphics controller in Device Manager should now be listed as Microsoft Basic Display Adapter, Standard VGA Graphics Adapter or similar. If not, repeat steps 2 through 5.

Reboot the computer when prompted.

Execute Clean installation of driver:

Click the .exe to initiate the driver installation.

Agree to the Intel Software License Agreement.

Click the checkbox to Execute a clean installation.

A clean installation removes all old drivers and restores Intel settings to the default value

Click Start to begin the install.

Reboot the system if prompted.

If the above method cannot resolve the issue, try to use Display Driver Uninstaller to uninstall the graphics driver first, refer to:

How to Use the Display Driver Uninstaller (DDU) to Uninstall an Intel® Graphics Driver

Additionally, if the issue persists, please contact your system manufacturer's support for further assistance: Lenovo Support.

Thank you for visiting and posting in the community.

Its a Lenovo i5-10400T 64-bit with 8GB mem running windows 11 24H2 build 26100.2894. What is happening it starts and is a bluish black screen with noise lines vertically and horizontally on the display when Windows fully loads the screen is fine and usable but any places there is a darker color you can still see the noise lines. this happened about the last MS update. If I look at Device manager I see the Intel UHD graphics 630 listed and the driver is the latest one 31.0.101.2134. I have removed and replaced that driver with clean installs several times. I believe its the Microsoft Basic Display driver that is corrupt but having already reset this machine from scratch with a clean install, I can't think of a way to replace that without a full reload of the OS. I'm trying to avoid the time and effort that will require. If anyone has an idea or has seen thins before please let me know.

I did all of that, and it didn't work. Lenovo wanted me to go back with a clean install to Windows 10 and then come all the way up again I chose to live with it I'm also on the windows insider loads, and it is slowly going away with different updates.
