Conflicting driver information

This link says the latest driver for 6th gen processors is 15.45.34.5174

This link says the latest driver for 6th gen processors is 31.0.101.2115

Please verify and remove the incorrect link. I suspect 2115 is the latest driver, but that is not what your page shows. It is confusing and incorrect.

The Released Notes Doc. is correct: 15.45.34.5174 is for Win 7 and Win 8.1 while 31.0.101.2115 is for Win 11 and Wind 10 Win 64 bit

I know. But, 5174 also says Windows 10:

So, the page for 5174 is incorrect for stating W10, and the page for 2115 is incorrect for stating

6th-10th Gen

when it is only for 6th gen. 7th thru 10th gen have a different driver.

Intel is not particularly good at verifying and maintaining these pages.

I agree this might be confusing, however it is not incorrect information.

The driver branch 15.45 is a non-DCH driver (because at the time DCH was not even a thing). We need to keep this driver branch available for compliance with partners and customers with those few applicable systems (e.g. a laptop with 6th gen processor where the OEM does not support DCH drivers).

The driver 31.0.101.2115 is from our driver branch that is DCH. Most 6th gen OEM designs support DCH drivers.

As you can see there is an unavoidable overlap with the live-branch 31.0.101.xxxx since technically both branches DO support Windows 10 - the big difference is DCH vs. non-DCH.

@JeanetteC_Intel Now the link is really messed up. The current driver for 6th gen processors running W10 is 2115 (with rumors of 2125 being available). The link intel modified is for W7 and W8.x. and the version is 5174.

Well, there is an Intel updated driver for 6th gen running W10:

So, here is what you need to do. You need TWO links. One for 5174 for W7, and W8.x. And, you need a second link for 2125 for 6th gen for W10. At a minimum, repost the 2115 driver.

@RonaldM_Intel It may make sense to Intel, but it is still messed up. For example, this link shows 2115 as being the latest, but 2121 is in the drop down. And, I have just provided a screenshot of 2125, so the drop down and latest driver for you DCH for W10 for 6th gen is very incorrect:

Years ago, HP's website was voted one of the worst. It was designed for HP and their employees, and not for their customers. I see the same thing here. It is extremely disappointing that no one at Intel appears to care about keeping the information current.

I truly apologize for the inconvenience this has caused you. I do appreciated your feedback on this matter. However, here is the latest driver based on the driver date:

15.45.34.5174 - 2/5/2021
31.0.101.2115 - 12/29/2022

Please also be informed that the 6th Generation Intel® Processor Graphics is an "End of Life" product as of December 30, 2022. For more support information, see Support Options for Discontinued Intel® Graphics Products, therefore we are not doing any changes on this website since version 31.0.101.2115 is the latest one.

I'll proceed in closing this thread now. Should you need assistance in the future, please submit a new question as this thread will no longer be monitored.

If "31.0.101.2115 is the latest one" then why is 2125 out there and working?

Why does this link show 2115 being the latest when the drop down shows 2121, which is clearly later than 2115

Also, you folks have completely misunderstood my post. I am not asking for help or support, I am asking you to fix the misinformation.

lose the thread if it means that much to you, but you really need to correct the information first.
