Question about integrated Arc Graphic and AutoCAD

I'm considering a laptop with integrated Arc Graphic to use AutoCAD.

However, I see this announcement about "retain mode" issue with AutoCAD for integrated Arc Pro Graphic: https://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/support/articles/000100057/graphics.html

Since Arc Graphic or older Intel integrated graphics also use dynamic memory, I wonder if I would have the same issue when using integrated Arc Graphic for AutoCAD

For laptop, I plan to use this one with Ultra 5 125H

Thank you for patiently waiting. To answer your questions, please refer to the information provided below:

The "retain mode" function error remains a known issue, and the Autodesk AutoCAD development team is working to resolve this defect. However, a fix will not be made available by Autodesk for the 2025 and prior versions. Further information will be added to this support page when a fix is available by Autodesk, which means that the 2024 version will also encounter the retain mode function error.

Since you plan to use the integrated graphics of the processor, Autodesk AutoCAD 2024 currently recognizes the graphic capabilities differently to a discrete GPU and only sees 0 MBs or 128 MBs of memory. Despite the limitation posed by the error, the same functionality is experienced as previous-generation integrated graphics solutions.

With that in mind, kindly contact Autodesk for more suggestions and possible configurations on the system that you plan to use.
