This is a well-known phenomenon (unfortunately).

Please try as follows:

Install the latest driver (31.0.101.2135) from the Intel download page.

After rebooting the computer, let Windows search for updates. An old Intel driver will be found and installed.

After rebooting the computer again, manually install the latest Intel driver (31.0.101.2135) again but without the "clean install" option.

After completing the installation and rebooting, the driver should remain.

I've been having issues with my GPU driver updates (UHD Graphics 620) for a while now. The Intel Driver Assistant insists that I need to update the GPU driver to version 31.0.101.2121, released on April 5, 2023. However, some time ago, the Driver Assistant had already updated the GPU driver to version 31.0.101.2135, released on March 28, 2025.

And here's the problem: the Intel Driver Assistant keeps sending update notifications for the older version released in 2023. On top of that, the system itself keeps automatically reinstalling an even older version of the driver (27.20.100.8729), even after a clean installation of the latest version (31.0.101.2135).

My system specs are:
Device Name: DESKTOP-R9JORT6
Processor: Intel(R) Core(TM) i5-8250U CPU @ 1.60GHz 1.80GHz
Installed RAM: 8.00 GB
Storage: 224 GB SSD YON-S220-240GB, 932 GB HDD ST1000LM035-1RK172
GPU: Intel(R) UHD Graphics 620 (128 MB)
Device ID: 0CF68D0F-C78C-4906-8371-4DEE2AA5C5FA
Product ID: 00330-80000-00000-AA420
System Type: 64-bit operating system, x64-based processor

Hello MUT!

Thanks for the answer!

I was waiting a few days to see if that method would work, and it really did work, the GPU driver didn't change anymore.

I just have one more question: If I have the Intel driver and assistant installed, even after this process, will it notify me of the update?

Yes, the Intel Driver & Support Assistant (DSA) will notify you if a newer driver than 2135 is released.

In this case, please perform the same procedure as described above with the new driver.
