Okay, I understand. I should switch to a computer with better performance and VR support. I shouldn't expect too much from my laptop. Thank you very much.

Dear Intel Community Support Team,

I recently rented a PICO 4 Ultra MR VR headset and its controllers. When I tested them at the rental point, I opened SteamVR Home without any issues. However, after I got home and tried to open SteamVR Home again, only a small part of the scene was displayed, and I couldn't perform any operations. Meanwhile, an error pop - up window appeared on my computer, which reads:

"CRenderDeviceDx11::GetResolvePixelShader(): error creating resolve shader for 8 samples"

My computer is equipped with an Intel UHD Graphics card, and I suspect this might be a graphics - related problem.

Here are the steps I've taken to try and fix the issue:

I visited the official Intel website, and it showed that my graphics driver was already the latest version.

I used the hardware detection tool provided by Intel, and all the CPU and GPU detection items showed "Pass".

After restarting my computer, I only launched Steam and Pico Connect, but when I opened SteamVR Home, the same error pop - up window still appeared.

I checked the integrity of SteamVR files through the Steam client, and it showed that the files were intact. Currently, I've uninstalled SteamVR and am in the process of re - downloading it.

I'm wondering if renting a computer with a better - performing graphics card at an internet café can avoid this kind of problem.

Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!

Best regards,

Jiaxin Chen

Judging by the discussions that I see here in the Community, it would seem that Intel has never claimed to support VR in any of its existing UHD or ARC graphics products/drivers. Since they don't speculate regarding future features, products or schedules, there has never been any confirmation that Intel (ever) plans to implement this support. This would imply that seeing what you are seeing is ~somewhat~ expected. With all that's happened at Intel lately, any plans they might have had to work on this are likely completely up in the air.

Just saying,

...S
