      <title>software update pc restart loop</title>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;I was given a suggestion to update my graphic processor in order to use a program, and after installing the driver and support assistant, I'm given the update but each time I hit send, I get told that I need to restart my pc to continue installing updates, and I've already done that twice already and even tried opening the page from a different browser.&lt;/P&gt;</description>

What you’re describing is a&amp;nbsp;restart&amp;nbsp;loop&lt;SPAN&gt; with the Intel® Driver &amp;amp; Support Assistant (DSA). Normally, when DSA installs a driver, it prompts you to restart so the installation can finish.&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P data-start="343" data-end="410"&gt;To help narrow this down, could you please confirm the following:&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;OL data-start="411" data-end="1003"&gt;
&lt;LI data-start="411" data-end="513"&gt;
&lt;P data-start="414" data-end="513"&gt;Which Intel® driver are you trying to install (graphics driver version number, if available)?&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;/LI&gt;
&lt;LI data-start="656" data-end="784"&gt;
&lt;P data-start="659" data-end="784"&gt;After the restart, do you notice the installation resuming, or does it always return to the same “restart required” prompt?&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;/LI&gt;

&lt;P data-start="788" data-end="908"&gt;Have you recently uninstalled or updated any other drivers (such as GPU or chipset drivers) before this issue started?&lt;/P&gt;

&lt;P data-start="912" data-end="1003"&gt;What is your system make and model (brand of PC/laptop, motherboard if custom-built)? Additionally,&amp;nbsp;I'd like to delve deeper and verify specifics like the graphics models, precise driver versions, and any system errors. Utilizing the &lt;A href="https://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/support/articles/000057926/memory-and-storage.html" target="_self"&gt;Intel SSU tool&lt;/A&gt; will enable me to collect detailed information about your system setup, which could aid in identifying the underlying cause of this issue.&lt;/P&gt;

&lt;P data-start="1005" data-end="1250"&gt;In the meantime, have you tried downloading the driver directly from the &lt;A href="https://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/download-center/home.html" target="_self" data-start="1099" data-end="1190"&gt;Intel® Download Center&lt;/A&gt; and installing it manually, bypassing the Support Assistant?&lt;/P&gt;
