Hi, so I have a problem where loading into any gamemode of fortnite makes the entire pc crashes. I sent a ticket to epic games but they didn't reply. I was wondering if I was fortnite's fault or intel iris xe's fault ? I discussed about it on reddit, we decided (me and 130 others players) to create a discord to gather informations. We found out that we all or almost all have an intel iris xe and a 11th gen of a cpu (i5, i7) so we came to the conclusion that maybe it was correlate. Can you please investigate by trying to download fortnite on a hardwarde with the same spec (intel iris xe and an 11th gen cpu i5 or i7). Thank you !

Hi @TheAizen,

Thank you for posting in the community. This game has been reported before, and we are aware of the known issues. In the past, some problems were resolved through updates from both Intel and the game developer, including stable driver releases to ensure smooth gameplay.

To help us investigate and determine whether the issue is related to the driver, the game itself, or system hardware requirements, please provide the following information for root cause analysis. I’d also like to set proper expectations: we’ll focus on your system since you created this thread on behalf of other game enthusiasts. Don’t worry, I’ll assist you in getting answers and explanations; I just need your help with data collection so we can proceed.

Please provide:

Game version and source (where you downloaded or are running the game)

Graphics drivers tested (document both OEM and Intel generic drivers if possible)

Confirmation if you performed a clean installation using DDU as part of troubleshooting

Crash report details from Event Viewer (include screenshots)

Exact error message during crashes (include screenshots)

Kernel or complete crash dump (follow instructions in this article)

You may monitor this thread since you have same system issues @FPere

Looking forward to your response.

My guess is that it's problably from the processor 11th gen. I've seen many players having the same issue on reddit. Unfortunately epic games are not as reactive as intel so I don't know if we will get this patch before the holydays end. I've sent a report and they just said to re report the bug on fortnite.

I wanted to share with the community, Since the latest fortnite update I have been crashing very often on PlayStation 4. I could be mid game or at the end of a battle royal and the game freezes then my PlayStation shuts down. This has been happening since the most recent fortnite update. I've tried reinstalling it, I've tried reboot the PlayStation, it still crashes. I don't think it's my PlayStation, I think the fortnite update is bugged. Any other ps4 fortnite players having the same problem?

I noticed multiple Critical events (Event ID 41) from the Kernel-Power source. This typically indicates that the system experienced an unexpected shutdown or restart without completing the normal shutdown process.

Note: Event ID 41 is usually a symptom, not the root cause.

I recommended the following:

(Optional) Lower Fortnite Graphics Settings -(let me know if there's any changes after testing)

Set graphics to Low or Medium performance mode.

Disable ray tracing (if any) and reduce resolution if needed.

Cap frame rate to 60 FPS to reduce GPU load.

Check Power Settings -(let me know if there's any changes after testing)

Set Windows power plan to High Performance or Balanced.

Ensure the laptop is plugged in while gaming.

Run Memory Diagnostics -(let me know the results)

Faulty RAM can cause crashes.

Use Windows Memory Diagnostic or MemTest86 to check for issues.

Review Event Details -(let me know additional information & provide screenshot)

Double-click an Event ID 41 entry for more specific error codes.

Look for any preceding warnings that might indicate the root cause.

Please let me know if you notice any changes after applying these recommendations.
Hi @RandyT_Intel, thanks for assisting me. Sorry for my late reply. Fortnite has fix the issue this week and the problem wasn't from the hardware. The problem was probably from Fortnite code itself. Thanks for everything and sorry for bothering !
