The monitor data (EDID) read via the HDMI cable does not show a resolution of 2560 x 1440. This may be due to older HDMI ports in such laptops with the PS8339 chip. The manufacturer states the following:

Supports HDMI 1.4b (1080p 3D @60Hz or 4Kx2K @24 or 30Hz)

1440p is not an HDMI resolution according to the CTA-861 standard.

Please try the following:

Download the attached ZIP file.

Extract the file.

Run XB2776QS-B2.exe an confirm installing this EDID. This will add 2560 x 1440 @ 60 Hz.

Restart your PC.

There's no guarantee, but it's worth a try, as the video bandwidth required for the signal should be sufficient.

Okay, then please try it manually.

Download Custom Resolution Utility (CRU)

Run CRU.exe

Make sure the active EDID is IVM660D connected to your PC. If necessary, select from the drop down menu

Click on Import in the bottom left corner.

Use the EXE file you already have:

Close CRU by clicking OK and restart your PC.

If you still can't select 2560 x 1440 @ 60 Hz in your Windows display settings, then there's probably nothing else you can do.

Note:
All changes made with CRU can be undone if necessary by running "reset-all.exe" from the CRU download package and restarting the system. You can find more information about this tool on the linked page.

I also created the EXE file above with CRU. It should perform this import process automatically, but that doesn't seem to work. Everything I've described here is based on CRU.
