The problem I am experiencing with driver version 31.0.101.5186 is that Windows Update keeps reinstalling it automatically, even after installing a newer driver and some games require the newest driver version to play. (like GTA 5)

I am not seeing any specific error messages. The installation of the newer driver completes successfully, but after restarting the system, the driver reverts back to version 31.0.101.5186 automatically.

I attempted to install the latest available driver version recommended by Intel Driver & Support Assistant. (Please see the SSU log attached for the exact version.)

I installed the driver using Intel Driver & Support Assistant (DSA).

To prevent Windows from automatically reinstalling the older driver, I paused Windows Update for 5 weeks. During this period, the SSU log correctly shows the newer driver version.

I did not manually uninstall the driver beforehand. The installation was done directly through Intel Driver & Support Assistant.

The issue occurs after restarting the system. Once the system restarts or Windows Update runs again, the system automatically reinstalls driver version 31.0.101.5186, reverting from the newer driver.

At the moment, the newer driver only remains active because Windows Update is paused. Once updates resume, the system installs the older driver again.
