      <title>[BUG REPORT] Intel Graphics Installer (v32.x) Overwrites/Disables Digigram VX Series Professional Au</title>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;&lt;STRONG&gt;Issue Summary:&lt;/STRONG&gt; There is a critical, reproducible software conflict caused by the &lt;STRONG&gt;Intel Graphics Driver Installer&lt;/STRONG&gt;. Every time a full installation or update of the Intel Graphics driver is performed, the &lt;STRONG&gt;Digigram Hardware Settings&lt;/STRONG&gt; (Control Panel for VX882e/VX222e professional audio cards) fails to recognize the hardware. This renders professional monitoring and playback workflows unusable.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;STRONG&gt;Environment:&lt;/STRONG&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;UL&gt;&lt;LI&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;STRONG&gt;OS:&lt;/STRONG&gt; Windows 10 &amp;amp; Windows 11 (Latest builds)&lt;/P&gt;&lt;/LI&gt;&lt;LI&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;STRONG&gt;Audio Hardware:&lt;/STRONG&gt; Digigram VX882e (S/N: 020339) and VX222e (S/N: 021014)&lt;/P&gt;&lt;/LI&gt;&lt;LI&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;STRONG&gt;Intel Driver Versions:&lt;/STRONG&gt; v32.0.101.7080 and all recent releases (2025/2026).&lt;/P&gt;&lt;/LI&gt;&lt;/UL&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;STRONG&gt;Steps to Reproduce:&lt;/STRONG&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;OL&gt;&lt;LI&gt;&lt;P&gt;Ensure Digigram VX882e is fully functional (see attached screenshot showing all inputs/outputs active).&lt;/P&gt;&lt;/LI&gt;&lt;LI&gt;&lt;P&gt;Run the Intel Graphics Driver Installer with &lt;STRONG&gt;"Intel Graphics Software"&lt;/STRONG&gt; and &lt;STRONG&gt;"Driver Support Assistant"&lt;/STRONG&gt; components selected.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;/LI&gt;&lt;LI&gt;&lt;P&gt;After installation completes, open &lt;STRONG&gt;Digigram Hardware Settings&lt;/STRONG&gt;.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;/LI&gt;&lt;LI&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;STRONG&gt;Result:&lt;/STRONG&gt; The sound card is no longer detected. The control interface is empty.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;/LI&gt;&lt;/OL&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;STRONG&gt;Key Technical Observations &amp;amp; Evidence:&lt;/STRONG&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;UL&gt;&lt;LI&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;STRONG&gt;Vendor Comparison:&lt;/STRONG&gt; &lt;STRONG&gt;Crucially, this issue does NOT occur with NVIDIA or AMD graphics drivers.&lt;/STRONG&gt; Using GPU drivers from other vendors on the same system does not interfere with the Digigram hardware. This confirms the bug is unique to the Intel Graphics Installer's execution logic.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;/LI&gt;&lt;LI&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;STRONG&gt;Tested Workarounds:&lt;/STRONG&gt; I have already tried &lt;STRONG&gt;disabling the "Intel(R) Display Audio" driver&lt;/STRONG&gt; in Device Manager, but the conflict persists. This proves the issue is NOT a simple HDMI/DP audio stream conflict.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;/LI&gt;&lt;LI&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;STRONG&gt;Installer Behavior:&lt;/STRONG&gt; The Intel Graphics Software installer appears to be performing &lt;STRONG&gt;unauthorized overwrites&lt;/STRONG&gt; of Windows Audio Endpoints or Multimedia Registry Class Keys (e.g., KSCATEGORY_AUDIO) that are essential for 3rd-party WDM/ASIO control paths.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;/LI&gt;&lt;LI&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;STRONG&gt;Recovery:&lt;/STRONG&gt; Currently, the only way to restore functionality is a complete uninstallation of the Intel suite (using DDU) or a clean OS reinstallation, as the installer permanently breaks the Digigram driver's communication link.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;/LI&gt;&lt;/UL&gt;</description>
