I am writing to express my concerns regarding the current state of optimization, performance consistency, and long-term support for Intel Arc A-series GPUs, particularly the Arc A770.

Over time, I have observed that while newer GPU architectures (such as the B-series/Battlemage lineup) are receiving active optimization and performance improvements, the A-series appears to have entered a phase where meaningful enhancements for modern titles are increasingly limited. While driver updates are still being released, they seem to focus primarily on stability rather than performance optimization for newer AAA games.

Based on recent benchmarking data and personal experience, I would like to highlight the following concerns:

1. Performance Inconsistency: The Arc A770 shows significantly lower and inconsistent performance in modern titles compared to competing GPUs in the same price segment. In many cases, even lower-tier GPUs outperform it.
2. Poor Power Efficiency: The A770 demonstrates high power consumption (often exceeding 200W during gaming and ~40W at idle), which is considerably higher than competing alternatives. This results in increased operational costs and thermal output.
Reduced Optimization Priority: There is a noticeable decline in optimization efforts for newer game releases on the A-series architecture, suggesting a shift in focus toward newer GPU generations. This impacts user confidence in long-term support.
3. Value Degradation: Due to the factors above, the overall value proposition of the Arc A-series has diminished significantly, especially for users who invested expecting continued performance improvements through driver updates.

As a user, I chose Intel Arc GPUs with the expectation of continuous driver optimization and competitive performance. However, the current trajectory makes it difficult to justify continued use. Instead of moving users toward alternative platforms, I strongly urge Intel to prioritize optimization and driver improvements for the Arc A770, as it remains a powerful piece of hardware with 16GB VRAM and significant untapped potential if properly supported.

I would appreciate clarification on the following:

What level of ongoing optimization support can A-series users expect going forward
Are there any planned performance improvements specifically targeting modern AAA titles?
Will power efficiency and idle consumption issues be addressed in future updates?
I believe Intel has great potential in the GPU space, and I hope to see stronger long-term support commitments for existing users.
