Hello,

Thank you for responding to my issue. This issue started when I bought this PC for the first time, and I downloaded the Newest Graphics driver for the Intel UHD 730 Graphics. After I installed the Graphics Driver, my monitor locked onto 75Hz. I tried ways to fix it by using CRT as well, but none of that worked, so I rolled back the driver. I'm not sure which driver it was, but it worked for a while. Just yesterday I upgraded my Windows to the Pro version, and the Problem came back, but this time I was not able to roll back the driver as I did before to fix the issue.

After that, I tried some ways to fix this myself. Those ways are,

1 Using CRT to force the Hz to 100 (didn't work )
2 Scan the PC for older Graphics Drivers (didn't find any )
3 Download different versions of the Graphics Driver for Intel UHD 730 (I'm currently on the latest version. I downloaded the oldest driver I could access through the Intel website - None worked, same result )
4 I didn't use DDU
5 Downloaded the Recommended Intel Graphics Driver from the Motherboard's Official Website (Didn't Work )

I provided a Detailed Summary of my Systems Infomation like you asked. This issue first arrived about a month and a half ago when I bought this PC, and now, like 2 Days ago, I wasn't able to roll back the Driver and fix the issue that way. If you want further Infomation ill be happy to provide it to you. Please let me know.

Thank you,

Hello,

My 100 Hz monitor, which worked before, is now stuck at 75 Hz after I installed the latest drivers. I don't know how to fix it, and I tried every method I could find. None of them worked. Please help me. My monitor is a HIKVIS ION 22-inch 100Hz model, and my HDMI cable is a high-speed HDMI cable with Ethernet support. Also, before I upgraded my Windows a month ago, I was able to fix this issue by going to the device manager and rolling back the driver from there. And it worked, but after I upgraded my Windows, I could not roll back my driver, and now I'm stuck at 75Hz. Please help me

Hey Robin,

So I did do as you told me to, but nothing happened. In the end, it is still at 75Hz.

The EDID that this monitor sends to the graphics driver is somewhat inconsistent. It's quite possible that newer graphics drivers will react poorly to this. Please try the following:

Download Custom Resolution Utility (CRU).

Run CRU.exe

(1) Select the affected active monitor if you have multiple displays on your system.

(2) Delete this 100 Hz definition in the middle. It defines a video mode with a pixel clock that the HDMI output doesn't even support.

(3) Click on the line with "CTA-861" and select "Edid..."

(4) Click on "HDMI support" an select "Edid..."

(5) Change the "Maximum TMDS clock" to 300 MHz !

The monitor limits the maximum HDMI clock speed as 230 MHz here, while elsewhere it defines 1920 x 1080 @ 100 Hz with a pixel clock of 236 MHz. 236 is greater than 230. This is actually a firmware bug in the monitor.

Close all CRU windows by clicking OK and restart your PC.

Hey,

I did it like you instructed me to do by using CRT and followed every step, but it's still the same 75Hz. Also, there were no extension blocks when I opened CRU, and no 100Hz to delete, so I made a new extension block like yours shown in the images

No Extension Blocks? That's odd. The EDID from your "Detailed Specs.txt" file clearly contains a CTA-861 Extension Block.

But never mind. Please try the following:

Download the file attached below. Unzip it. It contains an EDID BIN file.

Open CRU and click "Import" at the very bottom left.

In the import dialog, make sure to enable the "Import complete EDID" option at the bottom!

Select the BIN file.

Close CRU by clicking OK and restart your PC.

Just in case you can't see anything at all with my EDID when Windows loads the graphics driver.

You then need to interrupt the boot process 3 times in a row to force Windows into the recovery environment:

Power Off: Press and hold the power button of your PC/laptop until the device completely shuts down.

Power On: Press the power button to start the PC.

Interrupt: As soon as the manufacturer logo (e.g., ASUS, HP, Dell) or the Windows logo appears on the screen, immediately press and hold the power button again for about 10 seconds to force-shutdown the PC.

Repeat: Repeat this exact process (Turn on > Force-shutdown at the logo) two more times.

Boot Normally: On the 4th start, let the PC boot without interrupting. Windows will recognize the failed boot attempts and load a blue screen that says "Automatic Repair" or "Preparing Automatic Repair".

Once the blue recovery screen appears, use your mouse or arrow keys to follow this path:

Click on Advanced options.

Select Troubleshoot.

Click on Advanced options again.

Choose Startup Settings.

Click the Restart button in the bottom right corner.

Your PC will restart automatically and show a list of options. Press the 4 or F4 key on your keyboard to Enable Safe Mode.

When Windows was booted in Safe Mode, use "reset-all.exe" from the CRU download package to undo the EDID override and restart the computer.
