Ok, so yes Intel is posting this link every time this question comes up, so it would be nicer to have a better explanation as to why the hardware is not supported. It would have been even nicer if the windows upgrade process warned us of this incompatibility.

I have a Dell Inspiron N5110 with integrated Intel HD Graphics 3000 card. The laptop display has stopped working after I upgraded to Windowws 10. I can use the TV as display by plugging it inthe HDMI port. A standard VGA monitor also works through VGA cable. But the laptop display does not work. Please advise a solution.

I have the same issue. I can get the laptop to startup by power cycle but simple RESTART gets me a blank screen. I found a way around this:

If I have to restart I go to device manager and disable the Intel Graphics HD 3000

Then I can select START>POWER>RESTART

The computer will then restart OK but with default display settings. Then go back to device manager and enable the display adapter.

Don't know why Intel can't put some intern on this for a week or two to get an actual FIX.
