I apologize in advance if that's not the right place to ask this question - I'm new here.

I bought dell inspiron 5748 and I have... grainy graphics, just a bit pixelized, but enough to irritate me (extremely). I don't know if the issue is in the video card or what, I'm getting desperate here. I have Windows 7, 64 bit and tried maybe a dozen up to date drivers. The issue is in everything - from video files to the desktop wallpaper, I see the pixels everywhere. Can someone help me, please?

Right now it's intel hd graphics family 10.18.10.3945. I also have nvidia geforce 840m 10.18.13.5906. I tried to install intel hd graphics family 15.36.26.4294, but my laptop doesn't support it. I tried turning off the first graphic card, then the second... According to the windows index my processor is 7,0, but the graphic is 4,9. The difference is huge! I'd appreciate your help! Thank you!

Nope, same thing. First I couldn't install it. I had to delete the old driver, and then I had to manually click on the setup exe file, there was no other way for me to install it. And after that there was no difference in the graphics.

I've changed Windows 7 to Windows 10, tried changing the drivers again - nothing. Can it be some sort of a defect? Should I bring it back to the store? It's not just the grainy image, when I play a movie, it looks like... an older movie, like 10-15 years old - the colors, the shapes are a little bit off. Also when I try to fast forward 720p or 1080p movie a bit, it stalls for a second or two.

In this case I would recommend to check with http://www.dell.com/support/home/us/en/04 Support | Dell US in order to check if they can provide you with a customized driver since it's possible that your computer needs it to provide you the appropriate performance according to its features.

Check with them and let know how it goes.

Regards,

Amy.
