Hello AntiGrav,

As you mentioned the latest driver for the Mobile Intel® 4 Series Express Chipset Family is:

https://downloadcenter.intel.com/Detail_Desc.aspx?DwnldID=22167 https://downloadcenter.intel.com/Detail_Desc.aspx?DwnldID=22167

It is also important to say that the controller is a mature product and the support is limited by now. I recommend you updating all drivers in the computer and then install this one.

If you are still having problems, please attach your dxdiag report here.

How to get it?

Dxdiag Report: Type dxdiag in Start Menu> open> Save> Attach using Advanced Editor Options.

Kevin M

I hate to bump an old thread up, but I can't find another current one with this same issue.

Here is the information the driver update utility gave me.
Product Detectedhttp://www.intel.com/support/graphics/intelgm45 Mobile Intel® 4 Series Express Chipset FamilyCurrent Driver Installed8.15.10.2302Newer Driver Available:15.17.19.64.2869 (8.15.10.2869)
Download Now
File Size:39 MBhttp://downloadcenter.intel.com/Detail_Desc.aspx?agr=Y&DwnldID=22167 Detailed Driver Description & Driver Documentation

The Intel Graphics Media Accelerator Driver setup just gets started and this pops up.

"An error occurred while registering one or more components. Setup will exit".

I have tried numerous times to download the current driver to no avail. Is there something else I can try?

I too am still having this same problem.

After having gone through numerous iterations of display drivers (Uninstall, Delete, Reboot, Download, Install).

I still get the same error message:

"an error occurred while registering one or more components"

This is with an Intel 4 Series Express Chipset Family.

If 8.15.10.2869 is the most recent driver, why wont it work?

Also, when doing a manual search for compatible drivers, this driver is listed under:

15.17.19.64.2869

(Latest)

I realize this technology is a little dated, but is there any chance we can get some support from Intel?

Like, ever?

This is starting to make you guys look bad...
