Contacted Sony, referred me to the forums here. The Info Bar(Shows how TV is connected - HDMI plus Time/Screen Resolution) will continuously drop down, from the top of screen, when moving between full screen view, either YouTube or general Tab changing via web browser.

Sony checked the documentation of the TV and state the Info Banner is being triggered by the Intel graphics driver. There is no setting to turn off the banner within the TV settings menu, unlike some of their other TV's. Connection is via HDMI.

TV is :KDL-32W660E

PC is : Skull Canyon i7 (W10 - Latest Drivers - 1 screen only)

Any suggestions?

Thanks for getting back to me Fred.

Went and purchased a new GTEK HDMI cable v2.0b. This actually made the Skull Canyon a bit snappier to use generally for some reason, and the screen is crisper to look at. However, tried running the HDMI firmware updater, still get the same error message. For some reason it's not seeing the HDMI port or able to read the current firmware revision installed.

With the new cable, the info bar is still showing but no as often, but enough to still be annoying.

Hello JohnMK,

I am sorry to hear you are still having issues with your computer.

Another troubleshooting step we can try is completely removing the graphics driver, and testing the system with the Microsoft* Basic Display driver. You may have to uninstall the graphics driver a couple of times before you can get the Microsoft* Basic Display driver. Please disconnect the computer momentarily from the Internet which is to make sure the operating system will not reinstall the driver automatically.

In order for you to uninstall the graphics driver on the keyboard press WinLogo key + r, then type in devmgmt.msc, double click on Display Adapters -> Intel HD Graphics -> Driver tab -> Uninstall -> Select the check box Delete the driver software for this device -> OK, and then restart the computer. Go back to Device Manager and check if the Microsoft* Basic Display driver shows up under Display Adapters category. If it is not there then repeat the uninstall process until the Microsoft* Basic Display driver shows up.

Once you get the Microsoft* Basic Display driver in Device Manager connect the computer to the Internet and test the Sony* info bar.

After testing you can reinstall our graphics driver from this link https://downloadcenter.intel.com/download/26259/Intel-HD-Graphics-Driver-for-Windows-7-8-1-and-Windows-10-for-Intel-NUC-Kit-NUC6i7KYK?product=89187 https://downloadcenter.intel.com/download/26259/Intel-HD-Graphics-Driver-for-Windows-7-8-1-and-Windows-10-for-Intel-NUC-Kit-NUC6i7KYK?product=89187

Let me know if issue persists or not.

Regards,

Fred D.
