Unfortunately, that does not work either. When I attempt to install the driver manually, I get the reply that my driver is up to date. Sorry I wasn' t clear that the driver I attempted to install manually, that spawned this message, was the 4414 driver.

Recently one of my games started crashing upon start (Hearthstone, it that's important). I contacted Blizzard support about it and they sent me here, saying this:

After taking a look at your MSINFO and DXDIAG, this is associated with a known Windows Intel video driver bug.

In your MSINFO you are constently getting Live Kernel Events associated with your intel video drivers. These errors are related to igdkmd64.sys crashing. This would cause your computer to stop recognizing your video processor.

You will need to download and install the newest intel driver: https://downloadcenter.intel.com/ https://downloadcenter.intel.com/

This is an issue that intel is aware of, so you may need to contact them to see which drivers are best for your specific system.

Intel provides support for this at /community/tech/graphics https://communities.intel.com/community/tech/graphics

I tried Intel® Driver Update Utility, however no result showed up. COuld you help me out? I uploaded the dxdiad and msinfo files, if that helps.

Xender

Thank you for letting me know about this matter.

I have checked the dxdiag and I have noticed you are currently running a customized driver version 10.18.10.3345.

I recommend updating to the latest version https://downloadcenter.intel.com/download/26229/Intel-Graphics-Driver-for-Windows-10-15-40-4th-Gen-?product=81496 15.40.28.4501

Please let me know your findings.

Allan.

Unfortunately, this didn't work, as I got an error message:

This translates as: "This computer does not meet the minimal requirements for installation of this software".

I suspect it might be because the driver you mentioned is intended for Win 10 only and I hve Win 8.1. Thus, I tried installing the latest driver for my system (15.36.31.4414). However, that spawned a new error message:

Translated:

"Installed driver is not verified for this computer. Request the manufacturer of your computer for the appropriate driver.

Installation program will be ended.

Do you wish to get more information.

Clicking on the button Ano will direct you to the Intel corporation support site."

Which got me to http://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/support/graphics-drivers/000005469.html http://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/support/graphics-drivers/000005469.html . After following the instructions "What should I do?", I selected my operation system to manually install my driver. Further, I identified my Intel graphics controller (Intel HD Grapics 4600). Then, following the instructions to manually install my driver, after completing step 8, it said my driver is up to date. However, after checking the driver number, it is still 10.18.10.3345. I tried rebooting my computer, but no change happed.

Wat am I doing wrong?

Thanks,

Xender

That is unfortunate.

Install the following driver manually https://downloadcenter.intel.com/download/25978/Intel-Graphics-Driver-for-Windows-7-8-1-15-36-?product=81496 4414

Download the zip version and check step by step instructions for http://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/support/graphics-drivers/000005629.html manual driver installation on Win8.1

Allan.

This might be an indication your system requires customized graphics drivers because the Intel® generic drivers are not compatible for your computer model. This will be expected when using OEM computers.

http://support.toshiba.com/ Toshiba support

Allan.
