i have a mobile intel(R) 965 express chipset family driver it has been not responding most of the morning and then it rebooted me to where the laptop restarted. i have uninstalled it and reinstalled before and it worked just fine till then now it has been not responding every few seconds and wont stop. do i need a new driver or what?

The generic latest drivers that we provided for this controller were released in 2009 (for Microsoft* Windows* 7 and Microsoft* Windows* Vista*) and 2010 (for Microsoft* Windows* XP) and no similar issues have been seen.

Or you can alternatively test using a some of the previous versions posted there.

If the issue persists there might be a problem with the operating system itself, so you could try using a restore point or reinstalling it
