Hi,

I have a very interesting problem. My notebook is a Hp EliteBook 8570p with Windows 8 Pro installed and i am a software developer using Visual Studio.

There is something wrong with my VS.NET HtmlEditor which is when a mouse click event happens in any where it makes something loads constantly. For every click, makes my mouse icon progress and visual studio froze for a second.

It makes me so mad so i reinstall windows 8 and vs.net and see that everyhing is fine until a new driver update comes with windows update. After i update my Intel Graphics 4000 Win8 driver to latest version it makes my Vs.Net Html Editöre can not be used. When i uninstall this driver everything works fine but there is an another catch. Which is the previos driver makes Win8 crashes 2-3 times a day.

So, old driver makes win8 crash, new driver makes vs.net html editor useless.

What is this none-sense about?

Hi Koray Cayiroglu,

The drivers that come through Windows Update are generic so; those drivers may or may not work fine on every OEM system. We always recommend using the drivers computer manufacturer provides in their website since those are the drivers they have validated in your computer. I recommend you uninstall the current graphics driver from Programs and Features in Control Panel first and then install the graphics driver from this link http://www8.hp.com/us/en/support-drivers.html http://www8.hp.com/us/en/support-drivers.html

Hi Fred,

Thank you for your response but unfortunately this isn't helpful. Also it that driver makes my VS.NET much worse.

9.17.10.2768 is stable, above that makes this problem. I have to mention thatn It's stable for Visual Studio not for Windows 8. It makes Win8 crashes 3-4 times a day. Other versions don't do that but makes Visual Studio's HtmlEditor unusable.

Hi Koray Cayiroglu,

You can try also updating the BIOS of the computer. BIOS updates come with updates for the video BIOS of the computer which may help to fix this issue. You can get BIOS updates on this link http://www8.hp.com/us/en/support-drivers.html http://www8.hp.com/us/en/support-drivers.html

If the issue persists I recommend contacting Microsoft in order to check if they have additional troubleshooting steps that can be performed.
