Cannot set custom resolution on Intel HD 4000,

would like to have a downscaled 2k on my 1080p display for video editing. Msg box reads "Exceeds maximum bandwidth capacity".

Any way I can override this? The laptop also has an Nvidia card (K3000M).

I want to set a custom resolution of 2560x1440 on my 1080p monitor. My GPU can support the downscaled resolution of 2k on my monitor. When I input the resolution into the custom resolutions panel it says "maximum bandwidth capacity exceeded".

Please place an X to the right of the option showing how often you see this issue using specific steps. (Ex: 'Every few times a game is started it flickers.' <- This would be "Often")<p>

Hi TheSkilledPlaya,

I noticed that your computer has hybrid graphics; according to the display configuration you are trying to set, I would recommend you to contact your OEM directly in order to verify which the max resolution available from your laptop is. After that I suggest you to check the specs of you TV, in regard to set the proper resolution on both devices.

It is important to mention that we sell our Intel chipsets and processors to third party manufacturers and they design their own computers with their own features, settings and capabilities.

This is HD 400 maximum resolution, DisplayPort* 2560 x 1600, HDMI*, VGA; here is more information available.
