topic Monitor color problem with driver update in Graphics

I tried to update my G45 driver to 15.16.2.1986 version to solve a problem with Blu-ray disk playback with PowerDVD 8. In doing so, colors on one of two monitors (dual monitor configuration, HDTV via HDMI) are totally distorted: a pink/purple color in place of the normal Microsoft Blue Desktop. Restoring to the old driver produces the "normal" color so it doesn't look like it's a hardware problem.

Motherboard is a Gigbyte GA-EG45M-UD2H with a Core 2 Duo E7400 processor.

Windows 7 Home Premium OS

No other complaints about video when running Media Center

Dual monitor configuration is HDTV via HDMI and VGA Monitor which retains the correct colors.
