Hello,

I'm trying to update my HD4000 for my Asus UX32VD. However this is turning out to be rather troublesome.

I'm running Windows 8 x64 with my HD4000 (Also have a 620GT M)

I've tried downloading the generic ones from the Intel website, that gives me the message "This driver is not validated for your system" error. I read that I should try downloading the .zip file and install through the Device Manager, that just says that my driver is currently up to date.

That seems weird since the newest drivers are from "Date: 11/20/2013" version "15.33.8.64.3345", the ones I currently have installed are from "Date: 21-08-2012" and version "9.17.10.2843".

I looked at the drivers from the UX32VD support site on Asus, but those drivers are even older. How can I get the newest drivers? Or am I missing something?

All suggestions are welcome!

- Jens

Ps.

When using the Intel Driver Update Utility it only shows my GeForce 620GTM, but it doesn't give me my HD4000? I have to find the manually.

Hi FoolzRailer,

I am sorry to hear you are having problems installing the driver but let me help you.

It is important to mention that the drivers we have from our side are generic drivers for OEM systems. Since you have an external video card in your system, I recommend you disconnecting the video card first and then uninstalling the current graphics driver installed in your system. Here are the steps to uninstall the driver:

http://www.intel.com/support/graphics/sb/CS-034574.htm http://www.intel.com/support/graphics/sb/CS-034574.htm

Once you have uninstalled the driver please download the latest driver for your controller at the following link:

https://downloadcenter.intel.com/Detail_Desc.aspx?agr=Y&DwnldID=23639 https://downloadcenter.intel.com/Detail_Desc.aspx?agr=Y&DwnldID=23639

If you are getting a message during the installation of the driver, please try the manual driver installation. Here you have the steps:

http://www.intel.com/support/graphics/sb/CS-033916.htm http://www.intel.com/support/graphics/sb/CS-033916.htm

Thank you kindly! That did the trick! I now have drivers from this year, instead of 2 year old drivers!
