Open GL in Intel G33/G31 Chipset

Hi,

We're a small group of graphic and web design students, thanks to a project of our local city council, but we're having some problems trying to get Adobe Photoshop CS4 to work fully in our computers.

The problem is that we can't achieve to enable the Open-GL option, and Photoshop points the graphic card as responsible. Our computers are equipped with the "Intel G33/G31 Chipset Family". We tried upgrading the card's driver but this didn't solve our problem.

We found out in the Intel website that this card only supports Open GL 1.4/1.5 whilst Photoshop requires Open GL s' 2.0 version to work properly, so our question is as follows:

Is there any way to upgrade the graphic card's firmware or any other solution to help us get Photoshop working correctly?

Somos un grupo de estudiantes de diseño gráfico y web, gracias a un proyecto del Ayuntamiento, aunque estamos teniendo algunos problemas para conseguir que Adobe Photoshop CS4 funcione correctamente en nuestros equipos.

El problema es que no podemos activar la opción del Open GL, y de acuerdo al Photoshop, la tarjeta gráfica parece ser la responsable. Nuestros equipos cuentan con la "Intel G33/G31 Chipset Family". Intentamos actualizar los drivers de la tarjeta pero esto no solucionó el problema.

Averiguamos a través de su web, que esta tarjeta soporta Open GL 1.4/1.5 mientras que Photoshop requiere del Open GL 2.0 para funcionar plenamente, así que nuestra pregunta es la siguiente:</p...
