Well I'm only guessing now, but I wonder if the monitor needs to be in HDMI mode to get the signal. Can you switch the input modes on the monitor to see if one of the others will pick up the signal? (Ref:- sevenforums)

Dear all,

I have installed Intel graphics HD4000 drivers on my laptop (Lenovo helix). When I'm connected to other monitor Dell UM2412m the sound disappear.

If i'm not connected to my monitor the sound is in place and there is no problems.

I'm using windows 8.1 64bit.

I have tried to reinstall Realtek High Definition Audio Driver for Windows 8 (64-bit) - ThinkPad Helix, however then the laptop can't auto detect my monitor and i'm unable to use it.

Thank you in advance for you advices.

Best Regards,

Evaldas

Thanks for joining the graphics community.

I understand you have an issue with audio through HDMI monitor.

You may need to select proper audio output device.

a) Press the 'Windows + D' key on the keyboard.

b) Right Click the Volume icon and select the Playback Devices, set HDMI monitor to the default device.

Allan.
