Problem outputting to Extended Monitor

Hi,

I just installed Windows 7 on a computer running the Asus P8H77-V. I installed the Intel HD Graphics driver and ran all Windows updates.

My problem is that I want to drive two NEC AS221WM monitors using the graphic outputs on the Asus motherboard.

My problem is that as soon as I set the resolution of both monitors more than 1360 x 765 output appears only on one of the monitors.

How can I fix this please?

Hello,

I will review if there is any limitation on this particular configuration.

While doing this, could you please specify if this happens while using Clone mode, Extended desktop or both? In addition, have you tried using a different model of display on any of the other ports? What ports are bieng used and what is the port that continues working?

Hi Diego,

This happens when I use Extend mode. I set the resolution of both monitors more than 1360 x 765 output appears only on one of the monitors. The ports I am using are DVI and HDMI. On the Asus board the other port is VGA. I have not used this.

Hi Alan,

I'll like to follow up on this matter, please check couple of questions I have for you below:

What type of video cable are you connecting this monitor? Is it HDMI to HDMI, or VGA to HDMI or DVI?

Was the computer BIOS updated? What is the version of it?

I have an HDMI to HDMI cable and a DVI to HDMI adapter that in turn is plugged into another monitor via HDMI. Both HDMI cables have been verified to work well.

Can someone please confirm whether the intel graphics chipset is limited and therefore unable to handle such high resolutions.
