Hello Intel community, I have a problem with OpenGL and Direct3D drivers with the Intel GMA HD system. The transparent objects in games like Minecraft and Quake 3 that use OpenGL are black for the transparent part. I need help! I use a Core i3 processer at 2.40 GHz speed. Any good help is appriacatied, thanks.

Hello,

If your game is not on the compatibility list for this graphics controller, this means Intel has not specifically tested the game on this controller, and is not aware of any issues.

For the list of tested games, go here:

http://support.intel.com/support/graphics/sb/cs-012643.htm http://support.intel.com/support/graphics/sb/cs-012643.htm

Please try the following steps to troubleshoot this issue:

Test setting the Windows* desktop to High Color (16 bit) color depth in Display Properties.

Update the video driver installed. Intel makes available generic versions of the Intel® graphics drivers. However, Intel always recommends that you check with your computer manufacturer and use the latest Intel graphics driver provided by your computer manufacturer. Your computer manufacturer may have altered the features, incorporated customizations, or made other changes in the drivers they provide for your computer.

- If you have already tried the latest driver from your computer manufacturer and would like to try instead the generic Intel graphics driver, you may download the latest generic driver from the Intel Download Center:

http://downloadcenter.intel.com/SearchResult.aspx?lang=eng&ProductFamily=Graphics&ProductLine=Processor+graphics&ProductProduct=2nd+Generation+Intel%C2%AE+Core%E2%84%A2+Processors+with+Intel%C2%AE+HD+Graphics+3000/2000&ProdId=3319&LineId=3310&FamilyId=39 http://downloadcenter.intel.com/SearchResult.aspx?lang=eng&ProductFamily=Graphics&ProductLine=Processor+graphics&ProductProduct=2nd+Generation+Intel%C2%AE+Core%E2%84%A2+Processors+with+Intel%C2%AE+HD+Graphics+3000/2000&ProdId=3319&LineId=3310&FamilyId=39

- If during the installation of the Intel generic drivers you get this message: "driver not validated on this computer", go here for further instructions:

http://support.intel.com/support/graphics/sb/CS-022355.htm http://support.intel.com/support/graphics/sb/CS-022355.htm

-Check the game developer's website for any game updates or patches.

- For additional game troubleshooting information, please visit the following links:

http://support.intel.com/support/graphics/gaming/index.htm http://support.intel.com/support/graphics/gaming/index.htm

http://www.intel.com/support/graphics/sb/CS-003994.htm http://www.intel.com/support/graphics/sb/CS-003994.htm

Please contact the game developer for additional information and troubleshooting assistance.

You can fix this in Jedi Academy by turning off hardware transparency in the cfg file.

http://www.imperialmovement.com/forums_old/index.php?topic=2608.0 http://www.imperialmovement.com/forums_old/index.php?topic=2608.0

"Rendering Cvar Tweaks

cg_rendertotexturefx 0

If you can view a cloaked person without your FPS dropping into the toilet, you've got hardware support for that particular function. If your FPS takes a divebomb when you look at someone using a cloak, you should disable this particular feature."
