Intel HD Graphics - Display profile changes on startup - have to launch and restore default settings

Hi there,

I have been having a problem with my laptop - whereby every time I launch into windows from a restart or power on - A different colour profile to my default setting seems to be loading. This setting makes the colours look not as rich - the blacks are grainy and the colour has a yellow hue to it.

I solve the problem by loading the Intel Graphics Control Panel and click on the 'Restore Defaults' button. Suddenly the colour changes back to how it should be.

It is frustrating to have to do this everytime I switch on my computer. I work as a graphic designer so it is essential that I have a true colour reproduction on my computer.

Interestingly, if I plugin in a second monitor through my HDMI - It loads my default profile (the nice one) on my laptop screen and loads up another profile on my external monitor. If I unplug the secondary monitor - it once again makes the colours on my laptop screen strange.

My only thought seems to be that it is transferring over the colour profile information from my external monitor and applying this to my primary monitor.

Does anyone know how I can alter the Intel HD Graphics so that it always loads up the default profile on my primary (laptop) screen? I have tried saving the default profile under a different name and clicking save. But as soon as I restart it changes the top part to *Current Settings and the colour goes strange again.

I don't always have my laptop plugged in to the external monitor - so I can't rely on this as a way to fix the issue.

Any help or support would be highly appreciated.

I managed to solve this myself - turns out there was a conflict between Sony Control Center and Intel.

I solved this by going into Vaio Control Center - Display - Color Mode Setting - then checking the do not apply color mode box.
