I was wondering if there is a specific set of registers that identify what type of Intel Graphics is supported on the processor. For example, Intel HD XXXX, Intel Iris Pro XXX.

By finding the model of the processor, you will be able to find out the graphics controller that it supports.

Depending on the Windows version you are using, you can access system information, or msinfo32 to find out the model of the processor, and then you can look for the specifications of it on the following web site:

http://ark.intel.com/ ARK | Your Source for Intel® Product Specifications

Another option to identify the graphics driver that is currently installed on the PC will be to access the device manager, double click on the option that says "display adapters", and you should be able to see the graphics version of the PC.
