I recently updated my graphics drivers, using the drivers scanner on this site, and when I restarted my computer, everything was normal for a few seconds, then the whole screen got a strong red tint. I could barely read anything. I tried re-calibrating my colors, but to no avail. I ended up running a system restore to a few days ago. I took a screenshot before the restore, but when I looked back at it after the restore, it was normal. I'm using an HP pavilion DV7 laptop on Windows 7. My graphics card is Intel Graphics Family 3000 HD. I have a DxDiag report already saved, though I have no idea which part you need.

Thanks in advance

Zach

Please copy paste the whole contents of the dxdiag report you have saved. In addition, could you please specify what driver version did you try to install and if you got any error messages during the update?

I tried to install the latest one (The one specified by the scanner on this site.) I got no error messages during the installation. When I tried to run the driver installer, it said the download was corrupted, so I deleted it and redownloaded it. It ran with no problems.

Try using the latest video driver provided by Hewlett Packard* which is customized for your system. record the results.

Then try updating the BIOS of your computer.

Was the BIOS already updated?

Which driver version did you test with? (Driver version 15.28.12.64.2932 or Driver version 15.28.15.64.3062, or the one posted on Hewlett Packard's website). What is the result when testing each one of these three?
