I have downloaded and installed the ON1 Photo 2017 (Photo

Raw) to my HP Pavilion desktop, running Windows 7. When I open the

software a message appears :-

"OpenGL 3.3 and later is required".

My computer is HP Model p6-2065uk (2012 vintage). The Graphics card is shown as

"Intel (R) HD Graphics Family (2000)".

Graphic memory 1696 MB. Dedicated Video Memory 64MB.
Can I run the ON1 package on this PC? Is it just a matter of downloading the driver?

Is OPenGL 3.3 compatible with my current Graphics card?

Or do I need a different Graphics card that is compatible with both OpenGL

3.3. and my PC?

Check your OpenGL capabilities with one of the following tools:

http://www.ozone3d.net/redirect.php?id=401 GPU Caps Viewer

http://realtech-vr.com/admin/glview OpenGL Extensions Viewer | realtech VR

https://www.saschawillems.de/?page_id=771 OpenGL hardware capability viewer

I'm afraid you need invest into a dedicated GPU.

But ask HP for compatible models first.

For your 2nd gen processor with HD Graphics 2000, only OpenGL 3.1 is supported.

http://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/support/graphics-drivers/000005524.html Supported APIs and Features for Intel® Graphics Drivers

Doc

Hello Redvic,

Just like mentioned before the OpenGL version supported for your graphics controller is 3.1. The software you are trying to install requires a higher version, I am afraid that the software will not install.

Regards,

Amy.

ltroyer2, you would need a graphics controller that can handle the openGL requirement of the app of interest, you could upgrade your processor or in the last case scenario buy a computer that meets the requirements.

Regards,

Amy C.
