Hi!

We always recommend using drivers from the motherboard manufacturer. If you try another driver either from our Intel website or the one that is installed by Windows Update that driver may not work properly in your computer, because those are drivers that were not specifically designed for your system, those are generic drivers that may or may not work properly.

Thanks!!

He's using a i7-3770k CPU with the Intel HD graphics 4000 onboard, it doesn't matter what Mainboard he owns. Mainboard drivers are often outdated. I'm using a Asrock Mainboard and I would stuck on a months old driver if I wouldn't use the generic driver. It doesn't explain his lowered Windows score. I can't say something about this test, but I can say the 15.26 drivers are not the best in 2d benchmarks. I experienced this with my previous HD3000, 15.22 drivers gave me better 2d scores than 15.26. On a HD4000 the 15.22 drivers won't work of course. If you have a HD3000, try tomshardware 2d benchmark tool and you will see this.

This was a test some months ago on my HD3000:

15.22.1.64.2361: http://s7.directupload.net/images/120213/xce9pnxa.png http://s7.directupload.net/images/120213/xce9pnxa.png

15.26.1.64.2626: http://s14.directupload.net/images/120213/zjyefwlt.png http://s14.directupload.net/images/120213/zjyefwlt.png

I'm experiencing the same problem, except on Windows 8. I upgraded from the 15280b2 drivers to the 15280 release drivers and the WEI has dropped from 6.5 to 5.8.

asrock z77 Extreme6 motherboard.

Hi

I found this drop, however have you tried re-running an assessment, on the second full run I've found results are back to where they were before.

Regards

Phil

Hi

How odd, the last two times I've updated the HD4000 drivers the benchmark has dropped to around 5.5 when prompted to re-run the assessment. On re-running it again, both times it has returned to 6.6 on both Graphics and gaming graphics scores.

Probably some bug in the way the drivers are responding to the assessment tasks rather than real world drop in performance.

Another one for Intel to fix.

Regards

Phil

hi,

post here please whole detailed information about score, i must see also 3d business and gaming graphics, because when you have 2 and more graphics, under is written:

The gaming graphics score is based on the primary graphics adapter. If this system has linked or multiple graphics adapters, some software applications may see additional performance benefits.

i have intel hd 4000 and nvidia gt 635m 2GB

I had on aero 4,9 and on 3d graphics 5,5 but this rating make process winsat.exe from windows/system 32.

then I set up that winsat.exe must be run with nvidia and not with intel hd and results are

ProcessorIntel(R) Core(TM) i5-3210M CPU @ 2.50GHz7,14,9 Determined by lowest subscoreMemory (RAM)4,00 GB5,9GraphicsIntel(R) HD Graphics 40004,9Gaming graphics1696 MB Total available graphics memory6,7Primary hard disk58GB Free (98GB Total)5,9
