Ok great, thanks for replying. I tried it and it worked! The driver installed successfully and now the program works, as well as a game that was having a driver issue as well. Really glad I was finally able to update the drivers; thanks a bunch and I appreciate it.

Hi everyone,

I am trying to update the drivers on my computer as a program I am trying to use (DragonFrame stop-motion) says that they have to be updated to use it. I have tried the Intel Driver Update Utility but whenever I try to start it this happens:

I have also tried manually downloading some drivers from this page, under the Intel® HD Graphics for Intel® Core™ Processors:

http://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/support/graphics-drivers.html http://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/support/graphics-drivers.html

I tried the .exe versions, but they all gave me this error:

I also tried downloading some drivers from the Lenovo website:

support.lenovo.com/us/en/products/laptops-and-netbooks/lenovo-g-series-laptops/lenovo-g560-notebook?TabName=Downloads&linkTrack&beta=false

But all of them are dated before I even bought the computer, and when I installed them it didn't fix the problem.

I am not exactly sure what to try next. I have seen some people saying on this forum that you can try manually installing drivers, if you get the .zip files instead of the .exe files. Would that be a good idea? If not, does anyone know how I might fix the Intel Driver Update Utility problem? Please let me know, thanks.

Here is some information about the computer:

Lenovo g560

Windows 7 Home Premium (64-bit)

Intel Core i3 M380

4.00 GB RAM

Intel HD Graphics

And also attached are a bunch of files that this thread talked about:

Don't know if those are helpful or not... Thanks.

Hi GregoryMoore,

Your system is old now and the support is limited. There are no new drivers available. Laptops require custom drivers provided by pc manufacturer.

You can try with our last generic driver; however, it might work or not.

HD Graphics for 1st gen Core processors (2/19/2013)

https://downloadcenter.intel.com/download/22520/Intel-Graphics-Media-Accelerator-Driver-Windows-7-64-Windows-Vista-64-zip- https://downloadcenter.intel.com/download/22520/Intel-Graphics-Media-Accelerator-Driver-Windows-7-64-Windows-Vista-64-zip-

The instructions are below:

1-Download the zip file of the driver from downloadcenter, unzip and keep file in the desktop.

2-Turn Internet connection off

3-Go to device manager>Display Adapter, right click Intel HD graphics and select uninstall driver (check delete box)

4-Restart the computer

5-Go to device manager>Display Adapter, right click over Microsoft generic driver select Update driver, browse search for graphics folder at desktop (step 1)

6-Restart system and review graphics driver version installed from device manager or Graphics control Panel.

In regards to Driver Update Utility, it is not working properly in your system because the processor and chipset is already out of support.

Hopefully the latest driver will work in your system.

Regards,

Mike C
