Hi, I bought a new hdmi monitor, and I connected it as second monitor in my motherboard. The problem is that I see red dots and lines (with movement) specially with dark images. I tested the cable with my laptop and works well, so I confirmed that the monitor and the cable are OK. I updated the driver to the lastest version. Could it be a problem of the onboard video card? It's strange because the dvi output works properly with my old monitor. The problem is with the hdmi output, and it happens with both hdmi conectors. My hardware is:

Motherboard: GIGABYTE Z87X-UD5H-CF

Video:

Intel Haswell-DT GT2 - Integrated Graphics Controller [GIGABYTE]

Intel HD Graphics 4600

OS: Microsoft Windows 8.1 Professional (x64) Build 9600

Micro: Intel Core i7-4770K (3500.0 MHz)

Best regards

Hi and thanks for your answer. In fact, that is my version. By the way, I re-installed it from the link that you gave me, but I still have the same problem.

Best regards,

Marcos

I can confirm that the 10.18.14.42.64 version you have is the latest Graphics version, for further information http://www.intel.com/support/graphics/sb/CS-020667.htm Graphics Drivers — Understanding The Intel® Graphics Driver Version Number.

Does this issue, the red dots and lines happen when you're in the BIOS?

Could you send us a picture of the issue?

Regards,

Amy.

Marcos, since the error persists on the BIOS it seems that graphics portion on the CPU might be defective, my recommendation is to contact Intel Customer Support to check the warranty options for your Intel Core i7-4770K. You can use our support options to do that.

Support: http://www.intel.com/p/en_US/support/contactsupport http://www.intel.com/p/en_US/support/contactsupport.

Regards,

Amy.
