Hi,

after the Spectre Security Patch Bug earlier this year I had a Blue Screen problem on my HP ZBook 17 (16 GB RAM, 2.4 GHz, NVIDIA Quadro K3100M) and had to do a clean install of Windows 10 Pro 64-bit (1709). Since then the Intel HD Video Graphics card cannot be detected anymore (dxdiag only shows the NVIDIA card, see attachment) and video playback is badly affected (pixelation, blocking, stuttering).

Installing the HP recommended Intel HD video driver only results in the message: "The system does not meet minimum requirements". However, the system worked smoothly in Windows 10 (possibly 1703) before the Blue Screen issue.

Would be grateful for suggestions!

Robert

Thank you, Stefan.

BIOS System shows NVIDIA GPU UEFI Driver (80.04.E8.00.21) but BIOS Device Configurations does not show "Hybrid Graphics" or any other Graphics options.

WIndows 10 clean installation necessitated a change of drive format from MBR to GPT and a Boot Option change in BIOS from Legacy to UEFI Native. Can't imagine that this might have had an effect on card detection.

Still baffled that the Intel HD Video Graphics card is not recognized at all.

Robert

Thank you for your suggestions.

BIOS has been reset (a couple of times). And all available updates have been tried out. Intel HD video card still does not show up.

It starts to look like a hardware fault that coincided with the BlueScreen event following the Spectre security patch bug.

I ran System Diagnostics but hardware problems are not reported.

Is it possible that a malfunctioning video card is not reported and does not register at all?

Regards,

rosto

Actually the Intel GPU comes together with the CPU as a "system on a chip".

If it were broken, your PC would not work at all.
