Thanks for reply, but I've used that as well as the Intel driver tool and Windows update. All three suggest completely different drivers. I've tried all three, but still same issue.

I have updated BIOS and chipset driver. I've experienced this error on other laptops with different chipsets all the way back to Sandy Bridge as well. It's been an issue for years, and with each chipset release hoping this will be resolved, but still a problem.

EDIT: I noticed this thread as well where this has been around for a while and still not addressed:

Same old issue as the half dozen other laptops I've owned. Intel needs to fix this...

Now with Asus Transformerbook T100HA with Windows 10 and CherryTrail CPU. Native resolution is 1280x800. I can set 800x450/60 as a resolution but 1024x576/60 gives me the "custom resolution exceeds the maximum bandwidth capacity" error. This should be no problem. Please fix!

Hi HTWingNut,

Branded computers have customized drivers according to manufacturers. I suggest you to verify if you have the latest BIOS and chipset driver.

https://www.asus.com/2-in-1-PCs/ASUS_Transformer_Book_T100HA/HelpDesk_Download/ https://www.asus.com/2-in-1-PCs/ASUS_Transformer_Book_T100HA/HelpDesk_Download/

Regards,

Miguel C

Hi HTWingNut,

The graphics performance has limitations; some resolutions are not supported. In your case, it is better to use the graphics driver provided with Asus website.

Your device is still under support, we will have newer drivers in the future.

Regards,

Mike C
