HD 4000 graphics, Cloned mode are lost when following a link in powerpoint presentation when following a link in powerpoint presentation???

My Dell laptop with Intel HD 4000 graphics, are configured with a secondary screen (Vivitek projector and smartboard), in cloned mode. When a link inside a powerpoint presentation are clicked the cloned mode are lost in favour of extended desktop mode!!!!

Has anybody experienced similar problems and come about any solutions?.

Could you provided us with more information, your computer model, the graphics version you're using, the port that you're using to connect the computer to the secondary screen could you also provided us with the secondary screen model.

Please try the following;

Install the driver http://www.dell.com/support/home/us/en/04/product-support/product/latitude-e5530/drivers/advanced Product Support | Dell US, go to BIOS and chose;

once installed restart your computer.

Then install https://downloadcenter.intel.com/downloads/eula/25313/Intel-HD-Graphics-Driver-for-Windows-7-8-1-10-3rd-Gen-BYT-?httpDown=https://downloadmirror.intel.com/25313/eng/win64_153339.exe win64_153339.exe and once installed restart the computer.

Did the above updates, but it did not change the problem. Cloned mode are stil lost when following a link (to a youtube movie) inside a Powerpoint presentation.

Hi Amy!

I solved the problem and it had nothing to do with the graphic card or driver.

Powerpoint actually change the screen setup to extended desktop when a slideshow is startet, and do not set it back to cloned mode when you exit the slideshow.

The solution is to enter following in regstry:

[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Office\15.0\PowerPoint\Options]

"RestoreTopology"=dword:00000001
