Just a quick follow up, not sure where to put it... since updating to the 20.19.15.4331 graphics driver I have not experienced the Display Driver crash I was experiencing with 10.18.15.4279. <<< I think this is what Windows 10 installed.

So Ive been experiencing the, what seems to be common, graphics driver crashing at random intervals on my Windows 10 Lenovo Flex 2-15 intel i5 4210u hd4400 Laptop.

I'm using the default Windows 10 driver (Driver Version: 10.18.15.4279). I thought maybe I would try to go back to the Lenovo driver but I get an error saying that its not compatible ??? Do I need to uninstall Driver Version: 10.18.15.4279 before installing Lenovo's? If I do revert what will stop Windows from auto updating?

Thank you.

Hello, Ebojager:

Try to follow these instructions https://support.lenovo.com/cr/es/documents/ht074189 How to install drivers manually - Lenovo Support (US). If you are not able to install Lenovo's driver I would recommend getting in contact with them since it might be possible that the installation requires a different procedure.

From our end you can give it a try with the Beta driver https://downloadcenter.intel.com/download/25749/Intel-Beta-Graphics-Driver-for-Windows-7-8-1-10-15-40-?v=t Download Intel® Beta Graphics Driver for Windows® 7/8.1/10* [15.40] and if you want to give it a try follow these instructions http://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/support/graphics-drivers/000005629.html How to Manually Install an Intel® Graphics Driver in Windows® 10 &...

Regards,

Thank you. I got the same error trying to install the beta driver before hearing from you, until I found out how to install them manually. That worked. I have not tried the same procedure with the Lenovo driver 15.40.3.64.4248 yet as, I'm testing out the current driver 20.19.15.4331. My old driver was 10.18.15.4279. I don't know where 20.19.15.4331 came from, but it was installed after I uninstalled the beta driver to do a reinstall cause my second monitor came on during the installation and i felt better if I reinstalled without that happening. I was offline during this installation and have used Microsoft troubleshooter to hide updates for intel graphics driver. Things seem good sofar with this driver 20.19.15.4331. I will try the beta driver if I experience the driver crash anymore.
